How big is the house?
The house is 7,500 square feet, including the Lanai spaces
How many people does the house accommodate?
The house accommodates 12 people including children. If guests wish to hold parties or any kind of informal gatherings that will bring the total number higher than 12, specific permission must be granted by the owners.
How do I reserve time at the house?
Send in a 50% deposit along with a signed rental agreement to reserve the space. The balance of the deposit plus the security and telephone deposits is due 30 days prior to rental dates.
What other arrangements are involved in a rental?
No later than 30 days before occupancy, guests should advise us of the following:
- Number and names of people in group so the hotel may issue the proper guest cards
- Number of days, if any, cleaning services are desired
- Flight information and anticipated arrival time at the house
- Cell phone number
- Special requests
Can house guests use Hotel services?
Guests are entitled to enjoy all of the facilities of the Mauna Kea Hotel and Resort and the Hapuna Prince Resort including
Golf, tennis, beach, snorkeling, etc.
There is no charge for the use of most of the facilities except, of course, the hotel restaurants and golf. Lilio Lana I Ka Wai guests are charged at the regular hotel guest rates for golf.
Is room service available?
Room service is not available but parties may be catered by arrangement with the hotel.
Are private chefs available?
A list of cooks and other service personnel can be supplied.
What is the dress code at the Hotel?
Dress code at the hotel is informal except for one or two of the restaurants which may require jackets at dinner

Is transportation provided from the airport to the Mauna Kea Hotel?
Transportation to the hotel from Kona-Keahole Airport can be arranged through the hotel. Most guests prefer to rent a car(s) at the airport. Mauna Kea is approximately 25 miles from the airport directly on the Queen Kaahumanu Highway.
